Biography
Birthday: March 23, 1995
Resides: Kilauea, Kauai
Hobbies outside surfing: Long boarding, swimming for high school, cross-country, playing the ukulele, dancing and playing in the ocean, laughing and smiling!
Kiana was born and raised around the ocean. When Kiana was 8 months old her dad would take her on his long board to ride little waves, he would hold her up by his teeth biting on to her bathing suit.
Growing up, Kiana went to the famous Hanalei Elementary School and was a part of the Ukulele Band since she was 6. In 6th grade, Kiana joined the Hanalei Surf Company Surf Team, coached by Russel Lewis, who is still her coach to this day. Currently Kiana goes to a public High School and works as a cashier at a local fish market. Church and God have also been a very big part of Kiana’s life, “He has blessed me with everything I have” Kiana said.
Kiana surfs competitively in the NSSA and the HSF and she hopes to start to do some Jr Pros in the near future. Kiana also loves music, dancing and all the “glitters” she laughs.
When talking about her future she says she has set goals for the New Year and she is ready to take on new challenges. After High School Kiana would like to go to college as well as surf and travel the world. Kiana would like to keep competing and one-day surf in the ASP Qualifying Series. She also sees herself staying and living in Hawaii.

2011-1st place, HSA State 16-17 girls short board
2011-4th place, Explorer Girls Nationals
2011-2nd place, HSA State 14-15 short board
2009-2011-Kauai Junior Life Guard State Champions, swimmer and paddler
