With Valentines Day coming up we thought today would be the perfect time to feature a Valentine Sweetheart manicure. We found this video tutorial on CutePolish’s Youtube page.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

-Baby pink nail polish
-Dotting tool (or bobby pin)
-Clear nail polish
-Scotch tape
-Scissors
-Pink striper nail brush (or a tooth pick)
-White striper nail brush (or use a tooth pick)
-Silver glitter striper nail brush (or a tooth pick)

HOW-TO DO IT YOURSELF:

Step 1: Start off with a clear piece of tape pressed diagonally against your nail. Then paint the bottom half of your nail baby pink. Let dry for 10 seconds then remove the tape.

Step 2: Now use a pink striper nail tool to make a tick tack toe pattern. Lines are easiest to create by rotating the finger you are working on and keeping the brush relatively still.

Step 3: Now use the white striper to create a horizontal line in between the pink lines and then 2 vertical lines.

Step 4: Add some sparkle to your design with a silver striper tool.

Step 5: Next use a dotting tool or a bobby pin to create a pink heart.

Step 6: Finish off with a top coat to seal in your design and add shine to your nails.
