The Bikini That Sticks With You!

The Superkini is a technically advanced new bikini by O’Neill Girls. The bikini will empower you to hit the beach this summer with the utmost confidence no matter what the ocean waves bring your way. A revolutionary and super comfortable material called NANOFRONT, with 200% more grip then standard lycra, works its magic for the Superkini by generating even greater frictional force when wet. This will ensure minimal bikini slippage and movement in rough seas. Pure summer style and total peace of mind never felt so good!

Sage Erickson’s Custom Vintage Dress

O’Neill Girls surf team rider Sage Erickson stopped by our office a couple weeks ago to see if we could help her customize a vintage dress that she wanted to wear to the 2012 ASP World Tour Banquet. We loved the idea and were stoked to help her out… We grabbed a couple of our designers and a couple girls from our cut and sow team and voilà we were ready to customize!

Sage loved the idea of changing the dress to have a high-low skirt as well as adding some small shoulder pads in, shortening the sleeves and adding a slight v-neck. Check out the final O’Neill Girls customized vintage dress seen below on Sage at the ASP Banquet a couple days ago.

Fun Times In Palm Springs With PacSun

Last weekend, a few of us from O’Neill were invited to attend and run a booth at Pac Sun’s Golden State of Mind Party at the Ace Hotel & Swim Club in Palm Springs. Could we have asked for a venue any more awesome and totally our style than the Ace? Nope, don’t think so. The weather was perfect, the DJs were rockin’ out, and the O’Neill table never had a chance to stop. We gave away custom trucker hats for everyone at the party using lots of spray paint, stencils, sharpies and our improv drawing skills. I was whipping out hat after hat, completely coating my left hand in spray paint (it took two days to finally come clean), and giving everyone a little something that was just for them. No two were the same and people seemed pretty stoked that their hat could be and say whatever they wanted. Ben from the men’s team was there too, doodling away with his stash of sharpies on more hats at the other end of our set up.

We also raffled off gear with the help of our event guru Shaun, our intern Matt, and my boy Trav. We gave away towels, beach umbrellas, bikinis, headphones, board shorts and our coffee table book, and the best part was when the guys won bikinis. Rather than jump into the pool wearing them, they came back the next hour with the hopes a girl or two would win board shorts so they could trade. Probably the better choice, although we would have had some pretty funny pictures if they’d kept them.

Once the day party was done, and most everyone was sporting a trucker hat from our table
(check out pics of our hats on PacSuns Facebook page), we packed up shop and enjoyed some sliders and tacos from the Lime Truck. What a great day, what a great weekend, and it was all totally worth the AWFUL traffic we were stuck in all the way out there. Thanks again PacSun!

Manicure Monday!

We can’t wait for long summer days and loads of warm weather and ice cream! Enjoy this sweet little tribal print maicure with a touch of pastels. We found this DIY tutorial on Honestly… WTF.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

-Pastel nail polish
-Sally Hanson Nail Art Pen
-Clear nail polish

HOW-TO DO IT YOURSELF:

Step 1: Start off by applying a clear base coat to all of your nails, then apply you nail polish to all of your nails and let dry for a couple minutes. We waited about 5.

Step 2: Using the art pen tool play around with making some tribal patterns. Don’t worry about messing up since you can easily wipe away the pen marks with a tissue when the paint is still wet. If you happy with your design let dry and repeat on all of your fingers.

Step 4: Finish off with a top coat to seal in your design and add shine to your nails.
