Manicure Monday

Bracelet by our friends at Rope the Moon

The number 2 pencil has been a classic staple item in everyones back to school memories… in honor of back to school month we thought we would immortalize our favorite pencil by turning it into a manicure. Learn how to DIY here:

What You’ll Need:
-Orly Bonder basecoat (optional)
-Yellow nail polish
-Pink nail polish
-Orange nail polish
-Sliver nail polish
-Small paint brush (optional)
-Clear top coat nail polish

How To Do It Yourself:

Step 1: Get all your supplies lined up and ready to go. It might help to un-loosen your nail polish lids. Start off by applying the Orly Bonder as your basecoat to all your nails (this will prevent nail color from chipping or wearing off). Let dry for about 3 minutes then paint all of your nails with a yellow basecoat. Let dry for about 5 minutes.

Step 2: Next you will paint the pink erasers on your nails by painting from the half way point of your nail down until the tip. Repeat this step on all of your nails and let dry for about 5 minutes.

Step 3:  Now using your orange nail polish and a small paint brush, paint a couple thin lines over your yellow nail polish. We found that it worked best to dab most of the orange nail polish off on to a paper towel first and then apply it to our yellow nails.

Step 4: Using your sliver nail polish paint a solid line over the place where your yellow and pink nail polish connect. Repeat this on all nails and let try for about 5 minutes.

Step 5: Apply a layer of clear top coat to seal in your new manicure and you’re all done!
