What You’ll Need:
-Orly Bonder basecoat (optional)
-Raspberry nail polish
-Taupe nail polish
-Bobby pin or dotting tool
-Clear top coat nail polish
How To Do It Yourself:
Step 1: Get all your supplies lined up and ready to go. It might help to un-loosen your nail polish lids. Start off by applying the Orly Bonder as your basecoat to all your nails (this will prevent nail color from chipping or wearing off). Let dry for about 10 minutes and then place the scotch tape diagonally across each of your nails so that half your nail is covered.
Step 2: Using your taupe nail polish paint over the part of each nail that is not covered by the scotch tape and let dry for about 2 minutes before slowly removing each piece of tape from the nail. Let dry for an additional 5 minutes.
Step 3: Next you will be using your bobby pin as a dotting tool (simply bend it to straighten it out). The easiest way to go about the next step is to drip a couple of drops of raspberry nail polish onto a plate, dip the bobby pin into the polish and start dotting your nail. We used a dotting pattern of lines starting from one corner of the nail and working our way towards the middle. After you’re done let dry for about 5 minutes before moving on to the next step.
Step 4: Apply a layer of clear top coat to seal in your new manicure and you’re all done!
