On Friday August 17th, our O’Neill 365 Icon Audrey Meyer was stand up paddle boarding (SUP) around Manhattan (26.5 miles), to raise money for the benefit of several Autism foundations and Surfers’ Environmental Alliance (SEA) in the 2012 Sea Paddle NYC! The classic course that Audrey did was a non-competitive adventure paddle around New York City.  Here are some photos from the event and you can still donate to Audrey’s Fundraising here!

Team O’Neill’s Rob Rojas competed in the Elite SUP race and defended his 14′ SUP class title at the SEA Paddle NYC presented by O’Neill.  Rojas put in a time of 4 hours 17 mins to repeat as champion in the 14′ SUP class.  Having to battle brutal humidity and a strong head wind on the East River, this was the most challenging race of his career. Using his course knowledge from last year’s victory, Rojas navigated through Manhattan’s challenging waterways and brought home his 23rd professional victory.
