Meet our newest manicure, Party Time! It’s a ball of energy that’s no sweat off your back to duplicate. All you need are a couple colors of nail polish and a bobby pin! Get the DIY steps below:
What You’ll Need:
-Orly Bonder basecoat (optional)
-Taupe nail polish
-Orange nail polish
-Mustard yellow nail polish
-Blue nail polish
-White nail polish
-Purple nail polish
-Bobby pin or pen (dotting tool)
-Clear top coat
How To Do It Yourself:
Step 1: Start off by applying the Orly Bonder as your basecoat to all your nails (this will prevent nail color from chipping or wearing off). Next paint your nails with a basecoat of taupe nail polish and let dry for about 5 minutes.
Step 2: By straightening out your bobby pin you will be able to use it as a dotting tool. We found that the best way to dot our nails was to work on one color at a time. Starting with your first color, apply a couple large droplets of nail polish onto a paper plate and start dotting your nails.
Step 3: Repeat step 2 but with the rest of your colors and you should have a nice array of colored dots at the very end. Don’t worry about creating a perfect pattern or perfect dots since the dots will be layered it will be hard to see imperfections.
Step 4: Finish off by applying a layer of clear coat and you’re all done!
