We’re stoked to have O’Neill Girls surf team rider Jasset Umbel in town for the next couple of weeks. She’ll be surfing in a couple local events and also at the The US Open of Surfing which starts next week in Huntington Beach! We were able to snap a couple pics and ask Jasset some quick questions. Check out some of Jasset’s favorite items from our Fall 2012 Collection.
How many times have you surfed in the US Open?
This will be my third year surfing in the US open and this year I’ll be competing in the Jr. Pro.
Tell us about the board you’re planning to ride this year at the Open.
I’m planning on riding my Quiet Flight 5.8 swallow tail.
Favorite places to surf while in Southern California?
I love Lowers and T-Street in San Clemente and surf those spots pretty much everyday! Lowers is such a fun wave, and it always seems to be good. T-Street reminds me a lot of my home break back home, but better.
Tell us about your favorite surf trip? Where was it and why did you love it?
Well I really haven’t been too that many places. So I would have to say Puerto Rico. There’s so many spots you can surf and they’re all so different!
