Today’s special guest for our Manicure Monday is O’Neill Girls surf team rider Kiana Fores! Kiana recently stopped by our O’Neill Girls office when she was in town visiting from Kauai for a surf competition. Get the 411 on how to do this Shimmery Splash manicure yourself as Kiana walks you through the steps of this Kauai beach inspired nail art.

What You’ll Need:
-Orly Bonder basecoat (optional)
-Foam Green nail polish
-Gold foil nail polish
-White nail art pen
-Clear top coat nail polish
How To Do It Yourself:
Step 1: Get all your supplies lined up and ready to go. It might help to un-loosen your nail polish lids. Start off by applying the Orly Bonder as your basecoat to all your nails (this will prevent nail color from chipping or wearing off). Let dry for about 10 minutes.
Step 2: Paint all of your nails with your basecoat color of foam green nail polish. Allow about 10 minutes to dry.
Step 3: To create the the gold diagonal line you will need either a steady hand or some scotch tape to tape off the designated area. We just free handed it by applying the gold nail polish in a diagonal line and then filled it in on one side. We waited about 15 minutes for it to completely dry.
Step 4: Now you will add some pizzazz to your nails by adding an artistic pattern using your white nail art pen. To separate the two nail polish colors we chose to use a combination of straight and dotted white lines!
Step 5: Apply a layer of clear top coat to seal in your new manicure and you’re all done!
